Can the agricultural sector benefit from the use of swarms of unmanned aerial vehicles?

This project aims to implement a swarm of drones capable of monitoring crops and notifying a problem in a timely manner.

The drones have a navigation system using markers and an optical motion capture system in an environment of ROS (Robotic Operating System), these follow a series of commands of the encoded orders that are sent to them by computer and interpret them internally to carry out the tasks and coordinate with each other.

It should be noted that having a swarm of drones capable of coordinating monitoring tasks in crops, achieves prevention of problems that can negatively affect crops, thus causing better efficiency by using 60% less pesticide and a lower amount of losses.
