Mechatronic Engineer from the Universidad Autónoma de Occidente of Colombia, with a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering from the Universidad de Sao Paulo, Brazil, Doctor of Philosophy in Field Robotics at the University of Sydney, Postdoctoral Researcher at the French National Institute in Computer Science and Control.

Trajectory:

  • He participated in the second Colombian Robotics and Automation Conference in the city of Barranquilla together with a group of robotics research students.

  • Winner of the platform 'The Duckie Town Project', which is implemented in the robotics research group and in the course of Robotic Perception.

  • He has developed research on topics such as robotic perception, machine learning and computational vision.

Experience:

  • Postdoctoral Researcher, 2016, - French Institute for Research in Computer Science and Automation (Inira).

  • Research Assistant, 2015, Rio Tinto Center for Mine Automation (RTCMA), University of Sydney, Australia.

  • Teaching assistant, 2012, University of Sydney, Sydney, Australia. I provided tutorials to students of the Systems Dynamics and Control course. These tutorials included a mini-class followed by a question and answer section. Professor: Dr. Ian R. Manchester.

  • Professor, 2011, Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana, Palmira, Colombia. I taught the courses of vector mechanics and physics I.

  • Master's student, 2010, School of Engineering, Universidad de Sao Paulo, Sao Paulo. Brazil

  • Professor, 2008, Institución Universitaria Antonio José Camacho, Cali, Colombia. I taught courses in electronics and mechatronics I. I also dictated a seminar on robotic manipulators.

  • Intern, 2007,  Escuela de Aviación Marco Fidel Suarez, Fuerza Aérea Colombiana, Colombia. My internship project was the mechanical design and virtual prototyping of a machine for the manufacture of fuselages.
